March 25 - Heavy-duty trailer and equipment manufacturer TII Group used CONEXPO in Las Vegas to exhibit its range of products and services geared to the North American market.

TII Group presented the Scheuerle 4-axle WideCombi PowerBooster at the exhibition, which has been tailored to meet North American regulations and road conditions.

In order to achieve an optimum ratio of payload and tare weight, the WideCombi PowerBooster has been designed using a robust split-type construction, says TII Group.

The WideCombi trailer incorporates Scheuerle's pendulum axle technology, which is prominent in the market through its range of SPMTs. It is equipped with drive axles and can be towed at 80 km/h or, if required, driven by a PowerPackUnit (PPU).

Coinciding with the CONEXPO show, TII Group revealed its cooperation agreement with Florida based Precision Fabricating & Cleaning Co., Inc. (PFC), a development that was met with "huge interest," said Susanne Schlegel, commercial managing director of Scheuerle and Kamag.

"The interest of the visitors to CONEXPO certainly showed us that we are moving ahead in the right direction with this cooperation," Bernd Schwengsbier, managing director of TII Sales added. Short delivery times, payment processing in US currency, local service and the ability to monitor vehicle construction on site has already convinced a number of American clients to place firm orders, and in the medium-term the cooperation agreement will be extended to include other TII Group products, Schwengsbier observed.
