Aaras handles trio of vessels

August 20 - Project Cargo Network (PCN) member representing Pakistan, Aaras Shipping Agencies, handled three vessels simultaneously during July 2013.

The three vessels, Xiang Guimen, Hong Prosperity and Se Pelagica were carrying cargoes for oil and gas customers, including an amine sweetening unit, an acid gas flare system and D-min water system.

Heavy equipment and vehicles stowed onboard included coils; hot tolled steel sheets; loaders; excavators; breaking hammers; dumper, mixer and garbage trucks; and equipment for oil and gas processing.

The ships delivered 6,093 packages weighing approximately 39,943 tonnes in total.

Aaras Shipping Agencies provided stevedoring and discharging services for the three vessels. The unloading of each vessel was completed in approximately 48 hours. It also provided onward transportation services for the cargoes shipped on Se Pelagica to their final job sites.

Some of the consignees of the cargo also nominated Aaras Shipping Agencies' clearing agents, Aaras International, for Customs clearance and on forwarding services.
