April 12 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) utilised two Boeing 747 freighter flights to transport microchip manufacturing units from Amsterdam to Dalian, China, on behalf of DB Schenker.

The machines were shipped via ABC's Moscow hub. Each unit was packed in a bespoke container with internal climate control to protect it during the transport process.

Henk-Jan van Keulen, ABC's general manager in Amsterdam, said particular attention is paid to customers in the technology sector to maintain the safety, integrity and security of high-value cargoes: "High-tech goods are strictly monitored throughout the delivery chain, from the time cargo is delivered to us by the agent until it is handed over to the final consignee, and our customers are able to track the progress of their shipment with us every step of the journey."
