Able's executive chairman, Peter Stephenson, described the deal as "a major leap forward for both the Able Marine Energy Park and the ambitions to establish the Humber as a world-class centre for renewable energy technology."

He added the MoU marks a significant step towards creating a cluster of companies on the Humber that will secure the long-term future of offshore wind power generation in the UK.
