November 30 - ALE Heavylift has successfully completed the replacement of electrical generators in Unit 1 of Almaraz nuclear power plant, Spain using a 500 tonne skidding gantry.
The manoeuvre consisted of the extraction of the existing generator included lifting, skidding, a rotation of 90º and lowering the generator 15 m through the equipment hatch onto a waiting transport platform where a Megalift system was used to install the support frame used during the transport of the generator.
After the extraction of the old generator, ALE installed the replacement generator.
