March 13 - Allseas Global Logistics has coordinated the shipment of steam turbines, generators, parts and accessories from the port of Chennai, India to Oldbury in the UK.

The two largest turbines weighed 75 tonnes and 50 tonnes respectively; the total shipment consisted of 40 crates weighing approximately 174 tonnes.
 
The consignment was loaded on board the Rickmers-Linie vessel, Rickmers Mumbai, for delivery to the UK, where it was discharged onto low-loaders and step-frame trailers for oncarriage to Oldbury.
 
Having successfully completed the project, Allseas has since won tenders for further shipments from the same customer.
 
Allseas Global Logistics - a member of the Global Project Logistics Network (GPLN) - was awarded the contract by Indian GPLN member, Jeena and Company.
