Blue Water names IT head

October 12 - Blue Water Shipping has appointed Peter Matthiesen as its new chief information officer (cio).

The Danish company said that Matthiesen will ensure the company's strong position in customised IT solutions for its transport and logistics business.

Up until now, overall responsibility for information technology (IT) at Blue Water Shipping has been handled by group chief financial officer, Allan Junge.

Matthiesen joins the company with many years of experience in the IT sector, having most recently served as cio and programme director at TNT.
