December 16 - Through its Houston project group and in cooperation with its Brazilian JV partner in Belo Horizonte, BNSF Logistics has transported 28,000 cu m of wind farm equipment from India to Brazil.

The shipment consisted of 12 blades, 12 hubs, 12 nacelles and 12 cones, which were loaded at three different ports in India - Tuticorin, Mangalore and Kandla - and unloaded at the Port of Pecem in Brazil.
 
BNSF
chartered the vessel, Thorco Challenger, for the voyage and organised a marine surveyor to supervise all loading and unloading operations.
 
BNSF Logistics is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for the USA.
