Chartersphere on the move

March 5 - Air Charter specialist, Chartersphere has unveiled ambitious expansion plans following its recent move to new and larger premises in London, UK, following impressive growth over the previous year.

The hq houses the company's four-strong cargo brooking team which is expected to increase this year withChartersphere looking to open a passenger department during 2012.

The company helped make international headlines when it completed one of its more unusual airlifts bringing in 2,400 head of cattle to a new USD18 million state-backed ranch in the Voronezh region of southern Russia.

The vast farm was set up by a beef herder in a bid to improve the quality of meat in the booming Russian domestic food market.

Chartersphere arranged six flights using a Boeing 747-400F transporting 400 cattle at a time from the United States to Russia.

Chartersphere managing director Paul Bennett said: "This was just one of a number of challenges that the company has successfully completed in the last year. These include doubling the number of staff and moving to new larger office facilities which will provide our highly motivated team of brokers with a great working environment."

As part of a successful agreement acting as GSA on behalf of Veteran Airlines over the last three months Chartersphere moved 4,200 tonnes of cargo on 168 flights in the Middle East utilising its partner's IL76 aircraft.

Chartersphere has also just started new operations in Afghanistan and has one Mil-8T passenger helicopter available for ad-hoccharters or Medivac flights in the region which can be seen in the pic attached.
