Complex moves for WCA members

February 19 - Member of the WCA Projects network, Freight Connection (Pakistan), has coordinated the delivery of a 75-tonne transformer from China to the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

Freight Connection organised the shipment from China to Pakistan's Karachi Port, as well as Customs clearance and overland delivery to the job site.

Another WCA Projects member in Pakistan, Star Shipping, recently handled the transport of three 55-tonne generators from Jebel Ali, UAE to Karachi Port on board the vessel Charelle II.

Meanwhile, fellow WCA Projects member, Carriage Global (Singapore) coordinated the movement of a 125-tonne hose reel by barge from a private jetty to the Pasir Panjang terminal in Singapore.

Carriage Global loaded the cargo - which measured 14.5 m x 11.4 m x 11.5 m - onto two ten-axle modular trailers, before rolling it onto a barge at the jetty and delivering it to the Singapore terminal, where an 800-tonne capacity floating crane was used to load the cargo onto a berthed container vessel.

WCA Projects member CSI China also undertook a complex project move, with the shipment of a large ship propeller from Shanghai to Zhoushan Island via Waigaogiao Port.
