Van der Steene will be required to play a significant role to make Damco a leading logistics provider, said a company statement.
Based in Rotterdam, van der Steene is Dutch and has over 11 years of experience in the industry having worked forDanzas AEI and Panalpina. Most recently he was managing director of Panalpina Benelux.
