May 4 - Breda, Netherlands-based marine shipping contractor Dockwise has agreed two major contracts for transport and installation projects as well as two routine marine infrastructure transport projects.

Total values for the projects are expected to reach almost USD65 million.

Dockwise has agreed a letter of intent (LOI) with a major oil company for the shipment in 2013 of a deepwater production platform.

Based on an existing contract to transport a production hull to the North Sea which is behind schedule, Dockwise has received an LOI from an independent oil company for the second stage of the project to transport, in 2012, the topside unit from the fabrication yard and install in situ by float-over.

Meanwhile, Dockwise has booked two routine port and marine infrastructure transports to Rotterdam and Sharjah respectively. Client, destination and other details of these projects will be released once final contracts have been signed.

André Goedée, Dockwise CEO, said: "It is a mark of our clients' confidence in the outlook for the next phase of the business cycle that substantial transport and float-over projects for several years hence are tendered now."
