EGL joins Zohr discovery

June 22 - Egyptian Global Logistics (EGL), a subsidiary of Kadmar Group, has handled a 28 m long connecting unit for Saipem's Zohr gas field.

According to EGL, the Zohr gas field, located 120 miles (193 km) north east of Port Said, is the largest gas discovery in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean.

EGL was responsible for the port handling at the Port of Alexandria, Egypt as well as utilising its fleet of extendable trailers to transport the 40-ton (36-tonne) connecting unit to Saipem's base at the Port of Abu Qir for onward shipping to the Zohr offshore base.
