June 6 - Baltic & European Shipping, a monthly service operated by Europe Caribbean Line between Ipswich, UK, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Suriname, Guyana and Trinidad, has made its first call at Aberdeen, Scotland.

Beautrader, one of the five vessels which operates the service, will be sailing from Aberdeen direct to Le Brae, with a cargo of modular accommodation units.

Andy Thorne, managing director of Baltic & European Shipping Ltd said, "The additional port call in Aberdeen offers our customers in the Caribbean a fast and reliable service into the Caribbean and Latin America. We hope to add Aberdeen to our regular liner schedule."

The company says that the service is suitable for breakbulk cargoes including agricultural machinery and earth moving equipment
