March 06 - Fairstar has safely discharged the Northern Offshore jack-up rig Energy Exerter in Kavalla, Greece.
The mobilisation of the rig started above the Arctic Circle and tested the performance of Fairstar's Fjord through some of the most extreme winter marine conditions in the Barents Sea, along the coast of Northern Norway and through the Bay of Biscay.
Dave Hangoor, Fairstar's operations manager says: "Few vessels in the global heavy transport fleet have seen this range of temperature, wind and sea conditions while being entrusted with a cargo the size of Energy Exerter and we are all proud of the way our ship and crew performed. The rig has arrived safely and without any incidents in the course of this dangerous voyage. The team from Northern Offshore operated at the highest level of expertise and professionalism. It was a pleasure to work together with them".
