Faymonville has delivered a customised trailer to the French railway company, SNCF Réseau.

Faymonville manufactured a bespoke MultiMAX semi-trailer with an extra-long loading platform measuring 17 m in length.

SNCF Réseau will use the specialised trailer to transport an electric railway maintenance machine called Rapace Dac, developed by France's CIPA.

The trailer has a load distribution of 25 tonnes on the gooseneck and 11.5 tonnes on each axle. According to Faymonville, SNCF Réseau will be able to transport its 38-tonne maintenance machine within category two of French permitting laws for special transport.

The transport solution was delivered to SNCF Réseau in cooperation with MAN Truck & Bus, which supplied a 6x4 tractor unit.
