DEME has taken delivery of its second new wind turbine installation vessel, Norse Energi, at the CIMC Raffles Shipyard in Yantai, China.
Norse Energi is purpose‑built to install the next generation of large-scale offshore wind turbines and is sister vessel to Norse Wind, which was delivered in October 2025.
The 3,200-tonne lift capacity installation vessel can install turbines with rotor diameters of more than 300 m and XXL monopiles. It can operate in water depths of up to 70 m.

Offshore contractor DEME has taken delivery of the wind turbine installation vessel Norse Wind at the CIMC Raffles Shipyard in Yantai, China.
In three separate rulings last week, federal judges granted preliminary injunctions to three US offshore wind projects, allowing construction to continue despite a sweeping suspension order issued by the US administration late last year. The remaining two projects are due to appear in court shortly.
