Global logistics provider Geodis has launched Geodis AirSmart, a low carbon solution aimed at reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions related to airfreight by leveraging performance.
Launched at transport logistic 2025 in Munich, Geodis proposes that the solution can select the most energy efficient aircraft and optimising routing by utilising external flight data and advanced analytics tools.
Geodis AirSmart will be used towards decarbonisation efforts for both Geodis and its customers, including the company’s broader commitment to reduce absolute airfreight emissions by 25 percent by 2030.
Emission savings through the solution are available to Geodis customers through its digital platforms, offering tangible and comparable environmental progress.
The company is also planning to add to its maritime offering by deploying a supplementary solution based on a similar method to lower emissions linked to ocean freight.
In April 2025, HLPFI reported that Geodis and Dolfines are to develop an XXL offshore floating wind lifting device.
