December 15 - The port of Hamburg is gearing up for future growth and has lowered its fees.
Jens Meier, director of the Hamburg Port Authority, said that "whoever brings more traffic to Hamburg will benefit the most."
The plan is to introduce a temporary incentive system for transhipment traffic, in addition to the existing quantity discount of up to 50 percent for repeat business.
