Holleman moves heavy turbine

September 28 - Holleman Bulgaria OOD, a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) and Cargo Equipment Experts (CEE) networks, has transported a heavy water turbine measuring more than 10.5 m long and over five metres in height and width, destined

The turbine, weighing 73 tonnes, arrived by barge in Regensburg, Germany, where it was transshipped onto another ship for the river voyage to Belene, Bulgaria.

The cargo was transshipped in Belene onto Holleman's special heavy duty trailers and delivered to the final destination of Tzerovo, approximately 360 km away.

The complete transport project was performed within four days and involved a considerable amount of route engineering such as tree-cutting and wire lifting, as well as police escorts. Several highways and railways had to be crossed.
