Brazil’s Imetame Group is to build and operate a Private Use Terminal (TUP) in Espírito Santo, Aracruz.
With a multipurpose concept, the port will be designed to handle general cargo; vehicles; project cargo; solid, liquid and gaseous bulk; and provide offshore support.
The venture has more than 1 million sq m of total area and will have the initial infrastructure to handle 300,000 teus per year, with capacity to expand handling to more than 1 million teus.
Imetame Logística Porto said that due to its 17 m depth, the port will be an excellent operational option for long haul lines that operate with large ships in Brazil and will also be prepared to serve the next generation of container ships.
