December 14 - Nine over-dimensional pressurised steel evaporator tanks have been moved through Jaxport's Blount Island Marine Terminal.

The tanks, which weighed around 100 tonnes each and measured 13.7 m long with 6 m diameters, arrived at Jaxport from Zhangjiagang, China.

US stevedoring company Portus lifted the tanks one-by-one from SAL's heavy lift vessel Trina, before loading them on board two barges for shipment along the St. Johns River to Palatka in Florida, where they will be used at a paper product manufacturing facility.

The heavy lift cargo berth at Jaxport's Blount Island Marine Terminal offers up to 8.7 tonnes per sq m of load capacity with rail capability up to 78 kips per axle for heavy cargo.
