Linc in TBM return

September 8 - Linc Group has coordinated the shipment of a tunnel boring machine (TBM) from Singapore to Shanghai, China.

The machine, which had completed a project to bore a tunnel for Singapore Mass Rapid Transit's (MRT) new downtown line, was being returned to its supplier in Shanghai.

With a total volume of 3,282 cu m, the cargo was transported from the Singapore site to the port on multi-axle trailers, accompanied by police escorts, before being loaded onto a vessel for shipment to Shanghai.

The heaviest unit weighed in at 45 tonnes, with the dimensions 12 m x 5.4 m x 4.2 m.

Linc Group is member of the XLProjects (XLP) network in Singapore.
