March 29 - Following last week's news that it had joined the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC), Logistique Commerciale d'Afrique (LCA) has now also joined the Project Cargo Network in Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger.

LCA says that it routes all cargoes for the landlocked countries of Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali via Lome or Cotonou ports and that its strength is in providing air or sea door to door services for project cargoes, aid cargoes and commercial cargoes.

CEO, Pere Venance states: "Due to LCA's experience in project cargo, many projects owners have given their shipments to us, and in the last year alone, LCA Group has handled over 30 projects shipments."

"The most difficult thing for foreign project owners is how to make customs duties exemption arrangements with country authorities; we have the ability to recommend solutions to our clients which comply with the countries' laws. Our experience allows us to give the needed information to project owners for their strategic decisions: which port to use per type of cargo, which road to use, which trucks and trailers to use for deliveries, which kind of police escorts need to be used for cargo safety in dangerous cities."
