August 23 - International logistics company Logwin has succeeded in markedly boosting its first half 2010 turnover compared to the same period in 2009 and significantly reducing its interim trading loss.

The interim turnover rose by 20.7 percent from EUR 538.1 million (USD 681.89 million) in the first half of 2009 to EUR 649.5 million (USD 822.87 million) in the first half of this year. 

The operating result jumped from EUR 2.90 million (USD 3.67 million to EUR 10.10 million (USD 12.67 million).

In July, the HLPFI website reported the company's significant contract in handling the carriage of escalators and elevators to South Africa for ThyssenKrupp Grevenmacher of Luxembourg for the Gautrain rapid transit railway - one of the most significant infrastructure projects in South Africa.
