August 15 - MACS has added the Port of Charleston in South Carolina, USA to its North West Continent to North America service (MTA).

The MTA service will offer regular westbound sailings to Charleston, in addition to the regular liner ports, until the end of November, 2017. 

The first sailing will call at Bremen, Germany; Antwerp, Belgium and Bilbao, Spain before arriving at Charleston on September 9. 

According to MACS, each of its vessels are equipped with their own cranes with a lifting capacity up to 240 tonnes, which enables the shipping line to load and unload containers, breakbulk and project cargoes.
