“K” Line has loaded a 120-ton (108.9-tonne) unit onboard its ro-ro vessel Polaris Highway at the port of Barcelona in Spain.
Bergé Logistics, which represented “K” Line in Spain as its agent, said that this is the one of the heaviest units ever loaded onboard one of the carrier’s ro-ro ships.
Bergé coordinated between the technical departments of “K” line, the terminal, and the client for the operation.
The unit was loaded on the bi-weekly service from Barcelona, which covers the ports of Bremerhaven, Zeebrugge and Southampton to the east coast of the USA and Mexico, and also offers other destinations in Asia, Americas and Oceania.
