The port of Arendal in Norway has received a Liebherr LHM 550 mobile harbour crane.
With a 54 m radius and a 154-tonne lifting capacity, the crane will support larger project and special cargo operations, as well as bulk cargo handling.
The LHM 550 comes equipped with noise-reduction material in the winch and a hybrid e-drive engine which reduces CO2 emissions.
“An increasing number of customers are demanding capacity for larger and heavier project and general cargo. To also provide better support for a new battery factory that will be built locally, the choice for a larger mobile harbour crane made most sense,” said Rune Hvass, port director, port of Arendal.
