October 20 - Scholpp Kran & Transport has ordered six new Liebherr mobile cranes, with load capacities ranging from 70 to 350 tonnes.

All of the cranes - which include two LTM 1100-4.2 models, an LTM 1070-4.2, an LTM 1130-5.1 and an LTM 1350-6.1 crane - feature Liebherr's innovative variable supporting base, VarioBase.

"VarioBase not only enhances safety but also makes the cranes much more flexible to use. When you inspect a construction site one day and the crane arrives there the next day, things often look completely different. The variable supporting base enables us to react flexibly to changed conditions and work with optimised load capacities where space is at a premium," explained Martin Scholpp.

The first of the two LTM 1100-4.2 models has already been delivered, and completed its first job in the Allgäu Alps, erecting a mobile phone mast for BOS-Technik in Balderschwang.

Scholpp said that it also plans to use the four-axle crane, which features a 60 m telescopic boom, in refineries and the chemicals industry, as well as for the erection of construction cranes.
