Liebherr says that assembly work on its latest heavy-duty crane – the TCC 78000 – is almost complete. With the support of two LHM 800 cranes, the boom was fixed at a height of 61 m.

The 1,600-tonne capacity TCC 78000 is being built at Liebherr’s facility in Rostock, Germany. Featuring a maximum lifting height of 112 m, the rail-mounted heavy lift crane will be able to move over a distance of 420 m between the factory site and the adjacent quayside.

The TCC 78000 will be used for handling heavy cargoes from the offshore, shipbuilding, industrial plant construction and logistics sectors, as well as for Liebherr's in-house logistics processes such as the production, assembly and dispatch of maritime cranes.
