August 19 - Tianjie Heavy Industries, parent company of Shanghai based Fulangjie Import and Export Co Ltd, saw 60-axle lines of its TJ-S2.43 SPMTs deployed on 1,750 tonne roll-on project as part of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) development.

Allstone - a new heavy transport company established in China - coordinated the SPMT project.

The 1,750 tonne, figure-eight shaped steel jacket was loaded onto a barge for transport to the huge bridge development. The unit measured 90 m long, 43 m wide and 8.7 m high.

The SPMTs, spreader beams and jacket weighed in excess of 2,045 tonnes. 60-axle lines of SMPTs were divided into 10 units and grouped in a three-point support system in order to safely move the giant structure.

With Tianjie TJ-S2.43 SPMT's auto hydrostatic balance and computerised control system, each support point handled 34.1 tonnes per axle line.

Until the end of 2013 there will be around 180 Axle lines of SPMTs from Tianjie Heavy Industries serving the HZMB project.
