Universal Transport has started construction works at its new site in Rahlstedt, near Hamburg, Germany.

The 5,500 sq m development includes an office wing, a hall with storage space and a workshop. There will also be parking spaces for the company’s fleet of vehicles, which Universal Transport said is urgently needed.

Stephan Stender, branch manager at Universal Transport Hamburg, said: “At the end of 2020, the lease for our current location would have expired anyway. With the acquisition of the new site, we have found an ideal and future-proof solution that is well connected in terms of transport technology and offers enough space.”

Universal Transport will relocate to the Hamburg-Rahlstedt site at the end of the year.
