Van der Vlist Projecten's Chinese takeaway

June 8 - European heavy lift haulage company Van der Vlist Projecten has recently supervised the successful ex-works shipment of two crated 130 tonne cranes from the Netherlands, via Antwerp, to the Seaport Terminal China.

Both cranes were initially transported by barge for the consignors and loaded directly to ship at Antwerp by the vessel's own cranes. On arrival in China the cranes were then scheduled to be assembled and fitted onto two brand new offshore vessels currently under construction at a Chinese shipyard.

This is the second time Van der Vlist Projecten has project managed delivery of these types of crane for the Chinese shipbuilding industry having completed a similar project in 2010.

On dry land, Van der Vlist Poland has recently delivered several rolls of steel rope to the construction site at theSilesia Stadium Poland. Construction of the site is moving at full pace to ensure completion for the 2012 European Football Championships.

A total of 15 trucks moved the 4.5 m wide rolls from the UK to the construction site working to a tight just in time schedule. With permanent permits in place for these types of load, company escort vehicles and a substantial fleet of trucks and trailers, this project was well within the capabilities of Van der Vlist Poland, says the company.
