October 27 - Almajdouie Logistics is transporting cargo from Jeddah Islamic Port to the Haramain high speed rail line project site near Rabigh, Saudi Arabia, covering a distance of approximately 110 km.

In total, Almajdouie will handle approximately 7,584 cu m of cargo for the project on behalf of Gefco.

The wagons were transported on Almajdouie's lowbed trailers, which were specially designed for the railway project. According to Almajdouie, the wagons needed to be moved on long trailers to avoid overhanging and at a low height so they could pass under bridges.

Spanish train manufacturer Talgo contracted Gefco and Almajdouie to transport the wagons which will form a 450 km rail network connecting Mecca and Medina.
