July 10 - For the past two months, Tradelossa has been carrying out the transportation of one for the most important wind projects in Mexico: Sureste II.

34 wind turbines are being transported from both the port of Salina Cruz in Oaxaca and the tower manufacturer's facility in Monclova, Coahuila, to the final destination in Ixtepec, Oaxaca.

The project includes the transportation of tower sections, blades, hubs, nacelles and drive trains. The heaviest components to be transported weigh in at 84 tonnes, with the dimensions 49 m x 4.6 m x 4.5 m.

As part of Tradelossa's work, Schnabel type adapters are being used for the transportation of the bottom tower sections. This system guarantees a safe and timely delivery for long distance trips, claims Tradelossa.

The project is scheduled for completion in August or September, said Tradelossa.
