December 22 - Abu Dhabi based drilling company NSCC Drilltec has appointed Ahlers Dubai to move a shipment of drilling equipment from their Madham site in the UAE hinterland to Qeshm Island in Iran.
The total volume is around 1,300 tonnes. A tug and barge were mobilised and the units were loaded on the barge. The shipment sailed from Dubai in mid-December with the first lot of drilling equipment.
The second shipment of 700 cu m will be moved via landing craft in the near future. Ahlers Dubai has also secured the role of returning the equipment to UAE from Qeshm.
