USA-headquartered Barnhart Crane and Rigging has purchased Tupelo, Mississippi-based Baxter Crane and Rigging – its second acquisition of 2024.
“Baxter Crane and Rigging has provided crane rental and heavy rigging services in north Mississippi since 2005,” said Barnhart district manager Shane Bills. “The company, which specialises in transporting and setting machinery, millwright work, and lowboys, represents Barnhart’s third field office in the state, complementing services provided by our locations in Columbus and Jackson.”
Earlier this month, Barnhart acquired South Carolina-based White Crane, which became the company’s second branch in the state. That marked the company’s fourth acquisition in the past eight months, following the takeover of Illinois-based Bollmeier Crane, Armstrong Crane and Rigging, and Taylor Crane Rental.
