Spliethoff targets Iberian Peninsula

April 28 - Spliethoff has opened two new offices in Bilbao and Barcelona to meet the increasing demand for breakbulk and project cargo shipments out of Spain and Portugal.

The new company - Spliethoff Spain - will offer connections to the rest of the world with a biweekly service to Central and South America, the USA, Canada and other destinations, such as Africa, the Far East and Indian Subcontinent.

Moreover, said Spliethoff, the frequency of its service to the Great Lakes and East Canada has recently been increased from one to two departures per month. 

Federico Delclos, who has worked for the Spliethoff Group for many years, has been appointed director of Spliethoff Spain, while Ramon Larreategui takes up the position of sales manager in Bilbao and Lidia Gonzalez in Barcelona.
