Wiesbauer adds Liebherr crane

December 19 - German crane and heavy haulage company, Wiesbauer, has taken delivery of a 750 tonne Liebherr LR 1750 crawler crane.

By investing in the new crane with its variable boom systems, Wiesbauer says it is preparing for future operations in which the emphasis will be on high lifting capacity, flexibility, and a very sophisticated crane concept.

Marco Wilhelm, member of the Management Board at Wiesbauer GmbH, is thoroughly persuaded by the overall concept of the LR 1750: "Whether the crane is being erected and dismantled or whether it is in full operation, we can rely totally on the tried and trusted Liebherr crane concept.

"This heavy-duty crane combines optimum lifting capacity values, with the focus firmly on the needs of the client, with a very high degree of user-friendliness.

"And what also convinced us was the SLK boom system. This has been designed especially for the assembly of wind power systems, and it is extraordinarily well-designed with ease of transport in mind, while at the same time providing the lifting capacity needed for a wide range of installations with a hub height of up to 125 metres."

As well as assembling wind power systems, the crane will be put to use at Wiesbauer with derrick systems and luffing fly jibs for a whole range of different operational situations in the sectors of industrial assembly, steel and concrete construction, and handling work on dockside installations.

Wiesbauer have been actively involved for more than 50 years in the field of heavy load logistics, involving cranes, transport, and assembly operations throughout the whole of Germany and abroad. A core activity is the use of mobile and crawler cranes, while the company also provides complete project planning as well as the performance of major projects.
