EverSea tackles offshore duo

September 15 - DEME Group subsidiary EverSea has completed a project to transport and install two platforms for GDF Suez E&P Nederland in the Dutch section of the North Sea.

The project involved the transportation and installation of a 330-tonne gas compression module on the E17a-A platform, located approximately 100 km northwest of Den Helder. In order to complete this job, a new platform crane was also installed on the L10-E platform.

The compression module and crane elements were delivered to the Port of Antwerp and loaded onto the deck of the self-propelled jack-up vessel, Neptune, which then set sail towards the respective platforms.

Once on site, Neptune lifted the compression module onto the first platform deck and slid it 18 m into the correct position underneath the helideck, before installing the new crane onto the L10-E platform.
