March 4 - Crane rental company Hewden has begun taking delivery of 21 new Tadano all-terrain cranes, ranging in capacity from 70 to 220 tonnes.

The largest cranes in the order are two 220-tonne capacity Tadano ATF220G-5 models, which come equipped with a 21 m telescopic luffing jib attachment.

The order also includes three 130-tonne capacity five-axle ATF130G-5 machines, six 100-tonne capacity four-axle ATF100G-4 units and ten of the 70-tonne capacity ATF70G-4 cranes.

Hewden operations director Mark Hierons said that the construction sector in the UK is continuing to show strong prospects, especially for large-scale infrastructure and commercial projects.
