May 4 - Jumbo Shipping says its DP2 heavy lift vessel Jumbo Javelin has installed the first transition pieces (TPs) for the 400 MW Anholt Offshore Wind Farm in Denmark.

The company notes that it transported and installed the wind farm foundations with the use of only one free-floating vessel.

After the first nine TPs were loaded in Aalborg, Denmark, they were transported to the offshore location. There,Jumbo Javelin positioned itself on DP next to the pre-installed monopiles and lifted the TPs onto the monopiles. After the TPs were leveled to their final position, the grouting procedure was executed.

The Anholt Offshore Wind Farm is being built by DONG EnergyJumbo is working for the Danish contractor MT Hojgaard, which is in charge of the installation of the foundations.
