RT trans opted for the mobile crane from Liebherr given its 700-tonne lifting capacity, its mobility, and the ease of assembly and disassembly of its telescopic boom.

“We decided in favour of the LTM 1650-8.1 because we are seeing an increasing demand for higher lifting capacities for crane work in Serbia and the entire region,” said Duško Tadić, co-owner. “The crane has a wide range of applications, and we are planning to use it primarily for the construction of industrial plants, wind farms and for repair work on wind turbines.”

The LTM 1650-8.1 was used for the first time by RT trans to handle wind turbine equipment at the Kovačica wind farm in Serbia, with a Liebherr LTM 1120-4.1 mobile crane used as a supporting crane. The LTM 1650-8.1 was equipped with the T3YV2EN boom which included a 51 m telescopic boom with Y-guying, a boom extension, and a 59.5 m luffing jib.
