Two of Multisec’s modular spreader beams have secured DNV certification – a 2,000-tonne beam measuring 18.5 m long and a 1,200-tonne beam measuring 12.5 m.

The beams have been developed by the UK-based under-the-jib equipment manufacturer to meet the increasing demands of global offshore and heavy lift projects. Both have undergone rigorous in-house testing and full DNV assessment to permit DNV product certification.

“The real test wasn’t just achieving a 2,000-tonne working load but doing so while retaining the core advantages of the Multisec system — modularity, adaptability, and reliability,” said Multisec technical director Wan Djawad. “Every design decision and every test was driven by the need to ensure these beams could perform in the intended environment whilst complying to stringent design codes. The result is not just capacity, but confidence.”

Multisec noted demand for higher-capacity lifting equipment across offshore wind, oil and gas, and heavy infrastructure projects – sectors in which it intends to deploy its modular spreader beams.

Durham Lifting is an official distributor of Multisec products. In September 2025, HLPFI reported that Multisec and Durham Lifting had designed a 125-tonne C-Hook.
