Austria’s Prangl has added three WingMAX flatbed trailers from Faymonville for the transport of wind turbine blades.

The heavy-duty trailers are capable of handling rotor blades up to 70 m long. Faymonville sales representative Mario Balter said: “The enormous gooseneck stroke, the longest available loading platform with four-fold extension and strong pendle-axles are a profitable combination and a genuine plus for the wind power industry.”

A slidable load support for the blade tipping frame enables the flatbed to be shortened, which helps when passing through winding road sections, added Faymonville.
