Faymonville meets manoeuvrability needs in the Philippines

Geo Transport and Construction utilised Faymonville equipment to transport one of the largest cranes in its fleet, a Tadano RT GR1450-EX.

The Philippines-based Geo Transport used a MAN 8 x 4 prime mover combined with a four-axle MegaMAX lowbed trailer from Faymonville to complete the relocation of the 80-tonne Tadano crane.

Geo Transport tasked Faymonville with making technical modifications to the trailer to enhance its manoeuvrability in small spaces, such as construction sites, power plants or the narrow streets of cities in the Philippines.

The trailer was fitted with kingpin steering, a gooseneck and pendle axles, which allowed for a steering angle of 60 degrees.
