Turkish transport engineering and rigging specialist Hareket has been busy installing 20 wind turbines as part of an 84 MW onshore wind energy development, along with delivering boilers to a steam generation plant as part of a separate project.
The company has mobilised a 600-tonne lift capacity CC2800 crawler crane, an AC200-1 mobile assist crane, plus a 160-tonne lift capacity mobile tailing crane from Liebherr, to perform the works.
In addition to lifting operations, Hareket is also providing various engineering solutions, including site layout planning and the determination of optimal lifting configurations, tailored to the turbine type and site-specific conditions.
Hareket has also been on hand to deliver two boilers, which each measure 8 m x 7.3 m x 4.3 and weigh 60 tonnes apiece, across a 1,600 km route using five-axle lowbed trailers with recessed decks.
Safe transport was possible thanks to approximately 100 m of barrier removal and route modification work along the route. On-site transfers were carried out on-site using a 70-tonne capacity Liebherr mobile crane.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that Hareket had been keeping busy working on the installation, dismantling and transport of heavy and oversized components.
