Sarens works with Rigging International to offer third generation crane

May 4 - Belgium-based heavy lift company, The Sarens Group has introduced the SGC 120 Crane, which will be available in early 2011.

This innovative heavy lift crane is the result of the combined engineering efforts of Sarens and its newest group member, Rigging International of Alameda, California.

The SGC 120 is the only third generation 3,200 tonne capacity crane currently in production and is designed to accommodate the heavy lifting requirements of refinery, petrochemical, offshore platform and third generation components for both advanced pressurized water reactor (APWR) and boiling water reactor (ABWR) nuclear power plant designs.

Features of the model include a ring design and low cost transportation as the crane is all containerised and containers are utilised for counterweight. A rail system is under development to allow rapid jobsite relocation and competitive pricing is offered.
