November 26 - The world's largest aircraft - the Antonov 225 Mryia - has touched down at Yorkshire's Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.

The AN-225, which is operated by Ukraine's Antonov Airlines, was flown into Doncaster to collect 150 tonnes of engineering equipment for a transatlantic flight.

"The arrival of this huge aircraft is further proof of Doncaster Sheffield Airport's ability to handle the largest aircraft and cargo shipments," said cargo manager, Dayle Hauxwell.

The freight was handled by Anglo World Cargo - the cargo terminal operator for the UK airport.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport's cargo terminal consists of 12,000 sq ft (1,114.8 sq m) of operational space, and a 2,893 m long runway.
