March 10 - Netherlands headquartered Acta Marine has taken delivery of Coastal Chariot - a DP1 multipurpose support vessel built by the Maritiem Cluster Friesland shipyard.

Coastal Chariot will be deployed on dredging projects, oil and gas industry works and for offshore wind farm construction. It is the sister vessel of Coastal Challenger, which was delivered to Acta Marine in 2012.

Acta Marine added that Coastal Chariot has an operating draft of only 1.8 m combined with a bollard pull of 37 tonnes, which is unique for a vessel of this size. This makes it suitable for operating in ultra-shallow waters and very close to coastlines.
